Wow! To live in the day our forefathers were signing the constitution! The victory of having a nation under God! Oh the joy they must have had!!!! Unfortunately we live in the day people are trying to make sure our nation is not in relation to God. Sometimes that saddens me so, but I am so glad to know that there are so many who still want this nation under God. I fear showing Him no reverance and Him taking His arm of protection away as we see over and over in stories from the Bible. Here is something I recently read in Dueteronomy:
Dueteronomy 6:10-13
10. So it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build,
11.houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant--when you have eaten and are full--
12.then beware, lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
13.You shall fear the Lord your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name.
I think this relates to us in that our generation did not have to do the work to make this nation what it is. I guess you could say we have a tendency to forget what the people seeking God and God did to help our nation become a nation. If you read on in the rest of that chapter above you see it is not good for us to forget what He has done for Him and that we need to seek Him and love Him with all our hearts, soul and might!
